Private: Data Breach Involving the Division of Florida Colleges

Earlier this week, we discussed a report about data breach information from the public sector.  Well, you can add one more incident to the mix.  A data breach was disclosed by the Division of Florida Colleges involving both student and employee data, including personal identification information such as social security numbers. These occurrences can become newsworthy events, sometimes gaining national coverage.  The Division of Florida of Colleges incident is one such occurrence, as it received coverage from Fox News, CNN and the Washington Post, just to name a few.
