Data Privacy Day at bTrade

January 28th is Data Privacy Day, an international effort centered on “increasing awareness of privacy and data protection issues amongst consumers, organizations and government officials.”  This year marks the eighth annual Data Privacy Day in the United States and Canada which was as an extension of the Data Protection Day celebration in Europe.  Data Protection Day “commemorates the January 28, 1981, signing of Convention 108, the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection.”

Here at bTrade, we support Data Privacy Day and the need for people, government and organizations to respect privacy and safeguard their personal and business data.  We also hope this day further motivates organizations to make the protection of data (data security) a greater priority. (more)
