TDCompress (now secureXchange compress)
Allows customers to compress, encrypt and authenticate data files for cross-platform file transfers over public and private networks
TDCompress has a long history of trusted performance within the managed file transfer field. Initially used as a stand-alone product called Comm-Press, and now incorporated into the Java-based solutions in our suite, the Comm-Press functionality is widely considered to be the best, most trusted encryption/compression application in the world.
The Comm-Press functionality can dramatically cut both the expense and time associated with bulk data transfer. Using state-of-the-art data compression techniques, the size of the data files are reduced by as much as 95 percent. Since the compression and decompression takes place off-line, TDCompress is not dependent on any particular communications hardware, software, or protocol. Encryption is provided to ensure secure data transmissions.
Key Features of TDCompress
Listed below are just some of the features:
- Multiple files can be compressed into a single file for transmission. Decompression splits the data back into separate files.
- The ability to compress and decompress X12, UN/EDIFACT and UCS EDI data. The EDI envelope records are left in the clear to allow routing through a value-added network (VAN).
- State-of-the-art public key technology for encryption and digital signatures using the latest algorithms.
- Built-in options that allow cross-platform data interoperability; for example, ASCII/EBCDIC translation and handling of record delimiters.
The Next Generation: secureXchange compress
As encryption and compression methods improved, so did Comm-Press. bTrade and Comm-Press have been at the forefront of this innovation. The tradition continues as TDCompress. Press now makes the migration to the next generation of requirements, and we are proud to welcome it as the new “secureXchange compress” (Xcp).
